Breaking Records - Building Futures

On January 5th, 2009, the Surbiton Academy celebrated its 1st Birthday and by January 25th was celebrating its 175th member! This milestone confirms the Surbtion Academy as the fastest growing Martial Arts centre within the GBMAA.

The Academy is also working closely with the local Sports Council and has a number of Community Partnerships and other initiatives in the pipeline which aim to promote the healthy and positive lifestyle which sport (and especially Martial Arts) provides.

In fact, the Academy has never been more popular and has since reached a staggering 200 members! The Academy has already changed so many people's lives, from children who just needed somewhere to go to an adult who has now lost nearly 10 stone in 10 months, and we are looking forward to continuing to support the local community.

And it's not just Surbiton who's breaking records. The Richmond Academy welcomed 40 new members in January, bringing the total for the Surrey Academies to a staggering 130 new members in just one month!
