A big thank you to everyone who made the day run so smoothly and congratulations to everyone who took part. You all did yourselves, and us, very proud.

Special congratulations to the Surbiton students and Instructors who competed, including Anna (who took four points off World Champion, Helena Martin), Aurore (who beat Teresa Tomassi in the Light Contact), Stuart (who took the final to sudden death and was unlucky with the decision), little Holly (who was stuck against multiple national champions and a World Championship Silver Medalist) and Seraph (who fought out of his skin!).

Well done everyone and lets see a few more Surbiton Soldiers down there in June!

Once again, one of our Senior Instructors, Natasha "Rahne" Walker, has earned herself a place on Team Scotland and will be travelling to the WKA World Championships later this year in the hppes of retaining both her Light-Contact and Semi-Contact World Titles for the third year in a row.

Miss. Walker will also be travelling to Spain later this year as part of the WPKA Team England, so could come away at the end of the season with at least four World Titles under her belt!

All in all, it was a fantastic day. Venom made his long awaited return to the competition circuit and even at the lowest level, the GBMAA was chalking up convincing victory after convincing victory.

CIMAC Superleague Windsor

Posted by Surbiton Academy on February 2, 2009 at 4:57 PM Comments comments (1)

With a total of 10 events this year, the CIMAC Superleague is already shaping up to be a good one to win.

Congratulations to Surbiton CIT, Stuart Knox, who made his national debut at this event. Mr. Knox has so far come 3rd and 2nd at his last two Interclub events and although he didn't place in Windsor, he still did very well indeed.
